When Mediocre Leaders Lead Teachers!!

Dear leader,
Happy teachers day in arrears.

Let me begin by wishing you happy teachers’ day because I am a man of peace.

However, when it comes to mediocrity, I am a man of unfriendly words.

Why?

Because, when mediocre leaders lead, guess what happens…..Chaos!

I address this piece to administrators who have abused teachers with their tyrannical leadership for many years and continue to do so for reasons beyond my understanding.

To some educational stakeholders:

Do you have a vision?

Where there is no vision, people perish.

Look at COVID-19 vaccines, do you know why we are at the mercy of other countries to use their vaccines or consume whatever is thrown at us?

It’s because we lack vision, love and the commitment to thrive with the little we have.

We have thousands and hundreds of doctors, epidemiologists, virologists and clinicians who dare not thrive in your visionless environment.

You have been training them from class one primary school to consume and not to produce.

That’s why we are perishing! Because you lack love and lack vision.

Let me turn my attention to another mediocre group of educational stakeholders.

Sad to say that while some headteachers, principals and school directors and doing their best to promote quality education in our schools, some headteachers are a disgrace to the teaching and learning community.

I have taught for 13 years and I quit the teaching profession twice because of people like you.

Pay your teachers on time.

You have no excuse to delay a teachers salary for one minute.

Scripture says so. Deuteronomy 24:15 You are to pay his wages each day before sunset, because he is poor and depends on them. Otherwise he may cry out to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin

Those headmasters and principals who liaise with school proprietors to deal with teachers they don’t like because they have the blessings of the proprietor,

REPENT!

Don’t forget that you were once a classroom teacher and God raised you to that position to influence people positively.

Lastly, I congratulate all the hardworking teachers of our generation, past and beyond to come. Your works will be rewarded.

However, I also have a message for teachers who backstab their colleagues for cheap popularity, use school hours for personal transactions, sell themselves cheap to parents, extort money from students through unholy practices known to their consciences…

Your works will be judged by God and by your student’s.

Someday, you will reap the fruit of your labour aka.. with.tears in your eyes.

Maybe you have started reaping it already. REPENT! Gods grace is sufficient.

As you celebrate this day, remember these few words of mine.

Integrity and mediocrity don’t mix. Commit to excellence.

Best,
