How to create quality content part 5: Finding a suitable niche.

A niche is a specific area of interest that naturally selects your audience and sets you clear from competition.  It also means standing out of the crowd and doing your thing in your own way.

Let’s examine some ways on how to find a niche.

Combining two things

Combining lemon and water makes lemonade. You can combine two unpopular skills or areas of interests that are closely or unrelated to each other to create something unique.

Authenticity

It is easy to be authentic because you do not have to do anything to be real. Every human is unique. Your voice, your fingerprint and many other invisible aspects of you, so should your content be. Copying from others drowns your content in the marketplace.

Ridiculous ideas

Imagine someone comes to you and says, “I want to make money sharpening pencils? You’ll probably say: “you must be a joke. No one in the world is making money from sharpening pencils.”

But guess what, David Rees is a man that has found success by sharpening people’s pencils.

What are some ridiculous ideas that cross your mind every day? All you need to do is look around to see what frustrates you or others.

Ask: what can I do to solve their problems in a unique way?

Narrow your niche further

Niche is prioritizing what truly matters to you. Do you want to be a coach? What type of coaching do you want to provide, and to who? Niching is focusing on one thing and mastering it to a point that it becomes your second nature.

Explore unchartered areas.

The first person to risk something new in an unchartered area is creates a profitable niche for himself. Ask: “what can I do differently that no one else is doing?” if you continue on this path, you will generate something unique for yourself.

To conclude, choosing the right niche is the key that unlocks success in content creation. Simply put, niche simply means doing your thing your way, even if no one else is doing it. Do not be afraid to explore new areas and make a difference with your content.
