We’ve all gone through some form of suffering—be it emotional, psychological, health wise or economic suffering.
Does God just sit at the sidelines and watch you languish in pain without taking any action?
The answer is no: His ways are not our ways.
The good news is that if God allows suffering to come your way especially if you are not the cause of your suffering, you should rejoice because the aftermath will work in your favour.
When you look at the sufferings of the children of Israel while they were in slavery in Egypt, Moses cried unto the Lord; here was God’s response to his prayer in Exodus 3:7-9.
7 The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.
Let’s see what happens when you go through any kind of suffering.
H- Hears: God hears when you pray.
Just because you pray and not get an immediate response doesn’t mean God has not heard your prayer.
S-Sees: God sees your pain.
There is nothing that happens on earth that God does not see. God saw what happened in Kumba when unidentified gunmen stormed into a school and shot innocent school children.
God is also watching how you are struggling and in your current state of suffering.
A- Aware: God is aware of the details
God knows the details of your suffering. He knows when it will stop and how He will stop it.
R. Rescues: God will rescue you
God has never abandon any of his children in pain. No matter how long it tarries, His grace is sufficient. Those who erroneously conclude that God does not rescue are heading in for a lost battle.
Dear friends,
Persevere, persevere, persevere! God’s time will come soon.
For now, His grace is sufficient.
